Meet the Doctor & Staff

Mark Vagnetti, DDS

Dr. Vagnetti is a graduate of the University of Virginia and Virginia Commonwealth University School of Dentistry. Upon receiving the U.S Army Health Professions Scholarship, he entered military service as a general dentist. He graduated from the Advanced Education in General Dentistry 1-year program (AEGD-1) at Fort Benning, GA. Dr. Vagnetti went on to serve in a Field Dental Unit in Germany and was deployed in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom.

Upon returning from deployment, he was accepted into the U.S. Army Endodontic Residency Program in Fort Bragg, NC where he earned his Endodontic Certificate.  He returned to Fort Benning to serve as the Endodontic Mentor for the AEGD-1 residents and the Chief of Endodontics. After five military moves and nine years of Army service, Dr. Vagnetti was ready to return to Virginia and be a part of the wonderful Charlottesville community.

Dr. Vagnetti, his wife Heather, and their children are excited to be back in Virginia. He enjoys spending time with his family.  He is active playing soccer, supporting UVA athletics, and is trying to re-create German beer by homebrewing.

 

Paula  - Administrative and Clinical Dental Assistant

Paula has been practicing in the dental field for more than twenty-five years.  She is always enthusiastic about working with dentists, patients, and teaching the basics of dental knowledge to help others improve their health. Her husband’s military career took them to many different places where she not only worked in military dental clinics, but also private practices nationwide. Most recently, the Army led Paula and her family to Fort Benning, Georgia where she worked exclusively in the Endodontic Department. She met Dr. Vagnetti after managing the Endo department for more than two years and worked by his side for over three years.  

Paula is originally from North Carolina.  She enjoys spending time with her family, going to the beach, cooking, and Georgia football. 

 

Angie  - Clinical Dental Assistant

Angie has been in the dental field for more than 13 years.  She is experienced in multiple dental specialties, working exclusively in the Endodontic Dept at Fort Benning, GA for 2 years.  Angie is originally from Georgia.  She enjoys spending time with her family exploring the Central Virginia area.
